I know I’m in the minority when it comes to having black on a Red Wings jersey but I love this.

Red/black categorize (in my mind) as: Blackhawks, Sens, Canes, and Devils. Red/White is what sets Detroit apart – I’d love to be wrong and see a great take on the Wings, but I am deeply skeptical! Guess we will find out soon…

Another huge missed opportunity, wtf?! You had the barber pole right (which is what people have been asking for) and then blow it by adding black. We’ve never had black on our jersey. You could’ve had white stripes and Detroit in yellow to honor the Falcons era, but black makes zero sense except to be « fashionable » and sell it to younger fans.
Miles ahead of last year. 1,000,000 miles to be exact.

I don’t mind black as a one off (meaning a few games this year) alternate.
At heart I am a red and white purist and the last attempt at the reverse retros makes me skeptical of anything not red and white.
That said these give me a little team canada olympic jersey vibes which i’m 50/50 on, would prefer the script D as well
Please no colors other than red or white, maybe the off white/ beige on the original winter classics. And if youre not going to have the winged wheel then you need the classic old English style D or even at least old English style font.

Please god no. No black on the Wings jerseys. Why is it that all jerseys nowadays have to have black. Our color scheme is red and white. It’s pretty clear.
Big pass for me
While they’re still not great, (too much black imo) they’re definitely an improvement over the duct tape ones from last year.
Could be worse I suppose. I am glad to see they are willing to put some black in there. I remember those Reebok black accelerator jerseys and absolutely loved them. That being said, the barber poll jerseys definitely aren’t my favorite, but if this is it, they did a good job considering what they had to work with.
