If chevy is gonna trade him he better do his best due diligence and research how Joe Sakic handled the Matt Duchene deal.
Sounds like the players and coaches knew about the selfish problems of 55 – for not playing the team game. Why did they allow this to happen? Should have traded him at the trade deadline. Would have got more for him then.
Problem started a long time ago with PoMo. Should have got rid of PoMo earlier.
Don’t let 26 off the hook. Like 55 – he was the problem – and didn’t do nothing for personal selfish reasons.
New coaches decision – will name his leadership group.
I still genuinely believe Scheifele losing Connor on his wing to Dubois and Dubois being that #1 Center over him was the final nail in the coffin.
If Scheifele want to go , don’t stop him !

Here you have…all year…guys stepping up to the microphone after losses and accepting responsibility…taking the blame. All year, old core, new core, Moose call-ups, guys claimed off of waivers, etc. Dragging themselves to the press room after getting spanked. Taking the bullets and answering the hard questions. Supporting each other, never passing blame. Never pointing fingers. And then…#55…never one word about wanting to be a part of the solution to help fix the problems moving forward. How do you even look your teammates in the eye after admitting your favorite song is…"I Did It My Way?"
It appears that Schiefle is and has been the problem. Not popular in the room, he knows it and won’t change his attitude.

We need to rebuild around Connor PLD Ehlers keep young guys move everyone stasney, I'd like to see Lowry stay a jet.
All defenceman should be available and make room for heinola Samberg.
Wheeler makes alot of money hard to move contract or get much back Arizona always needs bad contracts or need to hit cap floor.
Scheifele cap and skill alot of teams would want I'd want a 1st and a top 6 player nylander, Konecny,Necas, ect or maybe even a defenceman who needs change like provorov, Dahlin.
I know unrealistic but even seeing a guy like Lafreniere playing top 6 with Dubois or whoever.
Or if traded for top 5 pick and got another top defensive prospect or Wright,Savoie,Cooley.
Big beef on#55 and his huge ego. Bigger bouquet to #17 and his ability to sit and listen to that crap!
So what’s the answer…
Because quite honestly I don’t think the Jets can pull a Dallas Stars where they are always close but not close enough.
I think there are so many young prospects that a rebuild makes sense for this group, you could get a kings haul for 55 and Hellebuyck if you marketed it to the right team, bring in a new goalie, bring in new players, I absolutely would not do a hockey trade here. I don’t think that helps at all for this group.
Those two I named have 2 years left, might as well sell high and work on rebuilding the WINNIPEG JETS not the Thrashers. My biggest fear if they stay the course is they will turn right around a hire Quennville out of Florida, make a trade for Jonathan Toews because they are “close” and go from there.
The thing is look at that group Winnipeg lost after the Nashville series.

Then the following year the Jets couldn’t keep Kevin Hayes under contract. They have failed to develop Vesalainen, Logan Stanley is okay…maybe as a 3rd pair D but still.
My point is with Heinola, Lucius, and Perfetti maybe it’s time to build around the young core. You could probably sweet talk your way into trading 55 to the Islanders for their lottery pick (or maybe even PLD for more than that)
Decisions gotta be made decisively. Pierre Luc Dubois has 2 years until UFA, Hellebuyck has 2 years until UFA (get the best package you can get), and Scheifele is done in two…same concept best package you can get.
Ehlers is good, Connor is good, Morrissey is good, build around them trust me build around them. Especially with the depth in these two drafts. We gotta quit pretending Byfuglien, Ladd, or Kane are walking through that door anymore soon. Gotta make Winnipeg it’s own identity.
Delusional comment by Wheeler. He’s definitely out of touch with reality thinking the team was playing for Maurice… because the team effort was low during many of those games.
Also Wheeler’s body language is infantile and it’s evident he wants to hide under the table. He looks weak, embarrassed and a hot mess. To watch a grown man, a captain of a professional sports organization act this way speaks to his lack of emotional intelligence and immaturity. The video stream alone says it all.
Mark will not be traded because a new coach will find out what is bothering him. If he's willing play more defense then he stays.
