    The fact that Seattle was able to completely dominate the Avs tonight is much more concerning than the loss itself. Tey got three lucky-type goals, so the loss isnt that big of a deal. But at times, Colorado couldnt even touch the puck against this team.

    Yeah the loss sucked and you'd like to see the guys play better but I gotta say, overall I'm pretty stoked. Byram is breaking out. Newhook seems to be on the cusp of breaking out. This bodes very well

    Cale has been awfully quiet. Not sure what he needs to have him break out to normal again. He's my all time favorite player but im just trying to figure out why he's slumping. Oh well. Loving Byram and Nuke. I have hopes for Goergie. I think it'll click eventually

    There is nothing about our record, or past records at this junction of the season that gives me any reason for concern or lack thereof. It's that I thought we got significantly worse by losing Kadri and Burakovsky, and were unable to come particularly close to replacing the production of either, plus not securing a true #1 goalie. I felt going into the season that the Avs could not afford to sustain any long term injuries to any of their top players if they wanted to be a serious threat, and not just a "good" team. Losing Landeskog for 12 weeks right out of the gate is exactly what this team didn't need. They don't look good. They are better than they played tonight, but then, the Avs could usually play bad against bad teams and not get dominated. The score was close, but the game was not.

    If this team is going to weather the storm, guys like Newhook and Rodriguez have to take their game to another level. Getting excited because Newhook "almost" made a play has kinda become the norm, and we've all just kind of shrugged it off because he's young, and we've not needed him to be great. So this isn't a knock on him, but rather stating the urgency for him to become a true top 6 producer, given our situation. This team has scored a bunch of bizarre goals that just aren't very sustainable going forward. These last couple of games are starting to show that. Get well soon, Gabe, and here's hoping some other guys step up and get this team going in the meantime.
