Sound check: 90 days ~ Dante Elephante. In honor of our captain that we are roughly 3 months without.

I’m a little worried about Tazer. I heard he went in for x-ray as well as E-Rod. This could be a really rough start for the Avs if we start catching the injury bug now.

  2. 2 surgeries in 1 year on 1 knee is concerning, especially 2 years into a 7 year contract

  3. Surround Newhook with someone other than Rodrigues.
I have my doubts about Rodrigues being worthy of a top 6 role.
EROD was a journeyman type of player with one decent season.
The second line should be Nichuskin, Newhook and Compher.

  4. This year they’ve started 2-2. Last year, through 9, 4-5. They were missing Burakovsky,Nichushkin, and Toews initially, if I remember correctly. Also, I believe that Makar had an injured wrist that was bothering him pretty good.Things have changed, however. They are absolutely not as deep. They miss Kadri horribly. Newhook sucks, quite frankly. The 3rd and 4th lines are absolutely terrible. And what’s happened to LOC? He started out HOT last year. I even have a couple LOC shirts as a result of that, but my word, he’s on a struggle bus.
    Furthermore, what’s Compher done?

  5. I feel that the OT winning goal was kinda cheap. I get it, it’s hockey and you do what it takes to win. But a Zdeno Chara clapper from the face off dot really ??!

  6. Well, the hockey gods giveth, and the hockey gods taketh away. I’ll miss seeing Gabe out there for the next few months. But I believe the gang will carry on 🤘😜. There will be bumps in the road. Let’s hope they grow stronger through it.

  7. Here’s something that’s really more a point on expanding thinking as a fan(Kyle and Chris will understand what I mean)- this is why you do not pay one player a ridiculous amount of money and gut your team. You need LINES; you need TEAM. MacKinnon’s contract looks great now, especially with the cap going up. This year, it’s even better because he’s still on the last year of the previous one. However, there were fanboys screaming to pay him anything he wanted. This is why you manage a cap. Thank God the cap may go up $4 million and that EJ’s $6 million comes off the books next season. Maybe they will get some more depth.

  8. Ouch on the Landy news! They really need somebody to step up outside of their "big 4" forwards. Great opportunity for some other guys with Newhook and Rodrigues struggling to get points!

O'Conner is one of my favorite players and he's always been an elite skater but a little shaky with the puck even going back to his college days.

  9. Didn't he have a knee surgery last season? If the Avs will not improve with lines 2 to 4, GM MacFarland will act. You two are very optimistic regarding Newhook, I hope you guys are right. I worry, he might not be the one for the second line center job.

  10. We can survive until the playoffs without Landy, so the timetable isn't a concern. I'm glad they are taking care of it properly and not rushing things.

  11. We are actually playing better than I thought we would to start the season lol we look a hell of alot better than we did to start last year

  12. Stop posting spoilers in your description, some of us can't see the game and rely on the highlights on Youtube to reveal the results of the game.

  13. You're faith in Newy is misplaced. All speed, no strength or puck handling.

  14. There were moments of brilliance from the Avs. Their first two goals I even called a 5v5 ppg as they moved the puck around so well. The one point sure took the sting off the loss at least.

  15. AVS claim Dryden Hunt. 1 of my NYR pals said he brings, physicality, check finishing & a high motor. Y'all know if he's a decent skater?
