I still understand the rationale behind the dvorak trade, but my god what a depressing player he is

  2. Non-Vanilla_Zilla

Xehkaj goal was nice. Prospects doing good. Otherwise, gross night for hockey.

    The Good ✅:

    ARBER GOAL LETS FUCKING GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

    Hoffman had a good game

    The bad ❌:

    Everything else

    *BAD*

    – Didn’t think the Habs actually played awful. Score was a bit harsh on them but a lot of players not at their best games.

    – Dvorak needs to figure it out. Yeah he is good at faceoffs but things need to improve basically everywhere and offensively. Don’t want to extrapolate too much but I think it’s a bit cope to suggest that he has been worth the price so far in his Habs tenure.

    – Monahan and Dach. Two acquisitions that have been great so far had some off nights. It happens.

    – Drouin a bit floaty today. Needs to be fully engaged.

    – Overall defensive coverage was just a bit not great. Combination of forwards not taking their man and defense losing puck battles.

    – Harris an off game. Again, with the young guys this is going to happen.

    – I mean there’s so many refs on the ice and they couldn’t remove that stick that hurt Gallagher? Or call the obvious slash which led to it. Oh also took away a breakaway.

    – Idek what to write about the powerplay but I believe it is probably past time to move on from the current powerplay coach.

    *GOOD*

    – Xhekaj goal and apple. Congrats on the first career NHL goal.

    – Y’all may not want to read this but Hoffman was one of the best forwards tonight. Had his first goal as well.

    – Gallagher was really good tonight and looked like his old self. Sucks about the injury but hopefully he is alright.

Whats our powerplay percentage at now?

  6. douce_abeille

This is a rebuild. Some good nights, some bright moments and some bad ones. The tank rolls on. You know Vancouver and Min have a way too big lead right now.

Xhejak goal is the highlight of the night for us. Wifi signal still strong. Losing to a good team isn’t that bad especially on the back of the good play recently.

  8. Beefiest_bison

Might’ve been Hoffman’s best game as a hab, he was looking engaged and created quite a few chances.

  9. meshadowbanned

Not bad, can’t complain too much. Some things I noticed:

Hoffman, even though he scored did not look good again for 99% of the game.

Dach and Monahan looked half asleep

    Xhekaj was great again

Harris and Guhle had some misplays but again looked solid

This was probably gallaghers best game this year in terms of working hard

Allen looked shaky, seems to get lost when people get near him

Besides that wasn’t a bad game, have to remember we were the worst team in the nhl last year and Dallas has a great team and even better goalie. Nice to see us having a season where you can see promise in our future. Will only get better when we call more people up next year. Only downside is I doubt we get Bedard now.

At least we were the first team to score more than 1 goal in a game vs Dallas this year so far

  11. Olibro64

Okay who on the team is allergic to 2 full minutes of PP?

  12. Habs_Apostle

Jack Eye is the real deal.

Tough night. They had their moments. Glad Gally’s OK. If the PP was even mediocre, it would sure help.

I’m pretty sure we would have won if we had Slaf. 😛

    Go Habs Go!!! ![img](emote|t5_2r10m|21702)

The score wasn’t a reflection of the game, at all. The habs played decent. Harris and guhle in particle where victims of the heavy forecheck of the stars. You could clearly see they where literally getting tossed around like kids. Dach and Monahan did not have great games either. Cole had his chances and so did nick. I really feel like it was a loose game where the team with the best goalie was gonna win.

  14. dadoudelidou

Otter is so fucking good .

I’m not saying that we would have won if he wasn’t there but just as Price was, you see the defs are just playing confidently in front of him.

  15. TripleWDot

Too many turnovers tonight. Their PK was extremely aggressive tonight, we couldn’t seem to do much in their zone on the PP. can’t win them all, onto the next one!

  16. Dank_Yeeter69

Somehow, with the Tampa Bay Lightning winning tonight, we’re last in the Atlantic despite being 3-3-0 ??

  17. sean_psc

Xhekaj’s goal and assist were great individual moments, and there were some other strong bits. Overall a messy game from the team, which is to be expected, of course, this is still going to be a losing season. Gotta get some Ls to save the Ws for games with important rivals.

  18. Acidraindrops22

Dallas is a top team and we held our own, nothing to be mad about

We messed up like 5 different high danger scoring chances that easily could have swayed this game

Our PP is trash and Burrows needs to be replaced ASAP

    Suzuki needs to shoot more

    Fire dadonov into the sun

    goodnight

  19. IcyChard4

Our offence was good. The Habs have bite on the attack. The kids were solid defensively.

What made this loss come is the hard forecheck. Plus, the Dallas Stars played a tough, physical game. What the team need to do is to play harder next time. Tougher forechecking and very tough defense. These are the kinds of teams that are hungry for a playoff series.

Added to this game, the refs. weren’t that good.

Lots of stuff to learn from this. MSL would have to make a strategy to step up the physicality, AND avoid our players getting a lot of injuries.

Anyway, let’s focus next Tuesday vs. Minnesota.

I just want to see progress on the power play, it’s becoming such a disaster. I’m sorry but the coaching staff has got to make some changes to it, everything about it is so bad. We have the skill now that it should at least be running close to 20%
